TANZANIA VISA PROCESSING REQUIREMENTS


Visa is an official document that allows the bearer to legally enter a foreign country.
There are several different types of visas, each of which afford the bearer different rights in the host country.

Documents Required to Process Visa

1st NOTE:

When currently traveling to the Republic of Tanzania, a *mandatory travel insurance* is required, which we process at *$65*.

  • Clear and valid passport copy of the client (*Minimum validity of 6 months prior to arrival/travel*).
  • Passport-sized colored photograph.
  • Clear passport copy of the Bio-Data page.
  • Travel itinerary (details about places to visit if traveling as a tourist).
  • Hotel bookings.
  • At least *one blank page* in the holder’s passport.
  • Return flight tickets.

    Special Note:

    Visa approval is at the sole discretion of the Tanzanian Immigration Authorities.



    Types of Visa
  • Tourist Visa - is issued for a period of stay not exceeding *90 days* (can be extended).

    Visa Application
    Clients must make the applicable payments to *Frapam Travels Ltd.* before any visa applications are made on their behalf.

    Visa Charges
  • A fee of $80 is charged to the Normal Tourist for a 90-day single-entry visa.
  • A fee of $200 is charged to the Referral Tourist for a 90-day single-entry visa.


    • In the event that a visa application is rejected by the Tanzanian Immigration Department, the charges are non-refundable.

    Cancellations of Visa
  • Visa fees in the event of cancellation or no-show are *non-refundable*.
  • Visa Processing Timeline
  • Visa applications submitted to Immigration take approximately *4 to 5 working days* to process (*excluding weekends and public holidays*).
  • Agents requiring urgent visas must contact *Frapam Travels Ltd.* directly. Additional charges will apply for urgent visa applications.

    Visa Conditions

  • Tourist visas are issued by the *Tanzanian Immigration Authorities*..
  • A visa is required prior to entry into the *Republic of Tanzania*.
    • Documents required to process Visa
    • Clear and valid passport copy of Client (Minimum validity of 6 months prior to arrival/travel).
    • Travelers are required to declare international currency valuing more than $10,000 on both entrance and exit from Tanzania. Non-residents (except Kenyans and Ugandans) may not import or export Tanzanian Shillings (TZS)
    • Non-residents (except Kenyans and Ugandans) may not import or export Tanzanian Shillings (TZS)
    • 1 Blank Passport page
    • Yellow fever required if traveling from a yellow fever endemic country
    Types of visa
    • Tourist Visa is issued for a period of stay not exceeding 30 days at $100. (Cannot be extended)
    Vaccination
  • Yellow fever certificate is required if traveling from a yellow fever endemic country .
    • Visa Conditions

  • The Tourist Visas are issued by the Tanzania immigration authorities to client directly

  • A visa is required prior to entry into the *Republic of Tanzania*.

  • The issuance of visas is subject to the sole approval of the Tanzanian Immigration Department.
  • Government fees are subject to change and are non-refundable under any circumstances.
  • Possession of a visa is *not the final authority* to enter the Republic of Tanzania.
  • Incomplete applications will be rejected.
